The Capital Chapter of AHDI (Austin, TX) was announced as the winner of the Membership Impact Award at the "No Limits Integrity Awards Show" held Saturday, August 7, at ACE in Austin. This special award serves to recognize a component organization that has engaged in activities and initiatives deemed to have had a measurable impact on component growth, retention, and/or professional development of its members.

The award recognized the Capital Chapter's accomplishments and activities in 2009, with several criteria considered for nomination. Our 2009 Capital Chapter President, Barbara Rasmussen, CMT, graciously accepted the award on behalf of the Chapter along with the 2009 and 2010 officers who were in attendance.

The Capital Chapter officers wish to thank ALL chapter members--past and present--for their support and participation. Without our members, the Chapter would not exist. We are very proud of our wonderful members and our Chapter's many accomplishments! We currently have 73 members, including 7 new members who joined during the convention. We have 35 new members so far this year.

The Chapter extends a special thank you to the officers who have volunteered their time to plan and coordinate events, secure speakers, provide educational opportunities, and bring together professionals and students in an effort to promote continuing education and support AHDI initiatives.

Congratulations to all Integrity Award winners!

Update - RMT and CMT Exam Transition

For the entire month of September, AHDI is extending a special end-of-year offer to anyone interested in taking their credentialing exam before December 31, 2010. Due to the transition of exams from the current testing provider (Thomson Prometric) to the new testing provider (Kryterion) in January 2011, AHDI can only offer 90-day eligibilities for current exams until September 30, 2010.

AHDI will waive the $10 eligibility processing fee for anyone interested in taking either the RMT exam or CMT exam prior to December 31, 2010, but you must apply for this eligibility by September 30. The eligibility will be good for 90 days and will cover your plans to register, pay for, and take an AHDI exam at a Prometric testing center prior to December 31, 2010.

AHDI will not be extending eligibilities past September 30th. The month of September will be your only opportunity to receive an 'Authorization to Test' letter for the current AHDI exams. Candidates seeking eligibility after September 30 will have to wait until the new exams are open for eligibility applications (tentatively scheduled for sometime in December). The $10 processing fee and new exam pricing will apply.

Sign up now! Apply for an Authorization to Test ($10 fee waived).
Schedule Exam with Prometric (after receiving authorization from AHDI). If you have questions, please contact AHDI Credentialing at 800-982-2182 x2472 or via email at credentialing@ahdionline.org
