Congratulations to the Capital Chapter! Membership Impact Award Nominee  The Capital Chapter (Austin, Texas) is honored to be selected as a nominee for the AHDI Membership Impact Award. The award serves to recognize a component organization that has engaged in activities and initiatives deemed to have had a measurable impact on component growth, retention, and/or professional development of its members.   We are very proud of the Capital Chapter's many accomplishments and continued growth. We have gained 42 new members in the past year and a half! We thank our members for their wonderful support and participation--our chapter could not exist without them. We extend a special thank you to the Capital Chapter officers who have given their time to plan and coordinate meetings/events, secure speakers, provide educational opportunities, and bring together professionals and students in an effort to promote the advancement of our chosen career. Our 2009 President Barbara Rasmussen, CMT, deserves special recognition for her outstanding leadership, professionalism, and commitment to encouraging member participation and chapter growth.    The winners of all the Integrity Awards will be announced at the Integrity Awards Show & Brunch hosted by Richard Lederer on Saturday, August 7, at ACE in Austin. Come and cheer on the Capital Chapter! If you're attending the convention, the Awards Show & Brunch is included in the full registration. If you can't go to ACE but would like to attend the Awards Show & Brunch at the Hilton on Saturday (11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.), a separate ticket can be purchased for the event.      View ACE registration info      View ACE event schedule July 17 Capital Chapter Meeting     Make Plans to Attend!   You're invited to attend the next Capital Chapter meeting on Saturday, July 17, at Seton Medical Center in Austin (9 a.m.-11:45 a.m.). We will have a guest speaker (to be announced soon) and we'll also be planning for ACE. Our chapter fundraising/gift items will be available for purchase (unique 'fly-thru' window magnets - only $5 each!). View the agenda and visit our website often for updated meeting information. There is no charge to attend. Everyone is invited! Bring along an MT friend/student.   Special Prize Drawing for ACE - We'll hold a drawing at the end of the meeting to award two more chapter members with $100.00 toward their ACE registration fee! If you've already registered for ACE, just bring a copy of your receipt to the meeting. If your name is selected as a winner, you can receive your $100.00 check then. (You must be present to win.) If you're attending ACE, please consider volunteering to help out at our table (one-hour shift) during the dedicated exhibit hall hours. You will not miss any educational sessions by volunteering to help staff our table. Enjoy meeting fellow members and ACE attendees!
