About our Speaker...
Stephanie Fancher, MS, CN, is a health and nutrition educator for the weight loss program at Austin Diagnostic Clinic in Austin, Texas. Stephanie is a certified nutritionist and earned her Masters of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Washington. Prior to relocating to Austin, Stephanie ran a private nutrition and wellness practice and provided nutrition counseling and education at Bastyr Natural Health Clinic and at Washington State University King County Extension. Stephanie is a firm believer in the power of the human body to heal itself and uses a holistic approach to support patients and help them create a more healthful and vital life
"Shake Your Salt Habit" (1 CEC Complementary Medicine) Stephanie will discuss the impact of sodium in the diet and the link to hypertension and the current obesity epidemic. Learn the major sources of salt in the standard American diet and how to reduce daily sodium intake by using herbs and other salt-free flavoring. Stephanie will share the positive benefits you can expect when reducing salt in your diet.
