Dear Capital Chapter members and Texas Healthcare Documentation Specialists!
Just a quick, sincere thank you for the hospitality and graciousness you extended to me on my visit to Austin Sept 19 for your annual symposium. It was a terrific meeting filled with the best of speaker topics and certainly the best of networking opportunities. Lunch gave me an opportunity for a true taste of Texas BBQ!
Sunday morning Kathy Muelker and her husband Jack gave me and Barb Adler (also one of your speakers and coincidentally a friend and fellow traveler) a tour around some of Austin. One of our stops was the Austin Hilton where next year's AHDI Annual Convention and Expo (ACE) will be staged. As I mentioned at your symposium and as your leadership is already aware, the theme for next year's ACE is "No Limits." The Austin Hilton is a fabulous venue to showcase our talents, issues and opportunities, and I truly foresee it being one of the best ever AHDI conventions.
I congratulate each of you on your involvement in your profession and with each other in your chapter, as well as with other Texas healthcare professionals. I look forward to seeing every one of you I met while in Austin at ACE in August 2010 for some "hot August" times as we challenge ourselves and each other to discover no limits.
